I would just like to say that I think that we as Americans are too dependent on Technology specifically our cell phones that was made abundantly clear to yesterday when I dropped my phone off my desk and shattered the screen...I was devastated I mean I could still use it but there was bits and pieces of glass coming out every time I touched the screen, so I went to the Verizon store and did an insurance claim and a new phone was on its way for delivery the next day. I remember the days of no cell phones and even more I remember when I wasn't so dependent on it even when I have one it is crazy how the times have changed. I used to live entire summers without my cell phone and now I feel as though there are times I can't go the entire day without checking my cell phone. I would challenge you to put down your cell phone for one day turn it off tuck it away somewhere in your house where you wouldn't touch it. Could you do it??? No, me neither anymore How about an hour? Now this I could handle. So turn it off tuck it away and dont look at your phone for an hour and actually have a conversation with someone I mean a real face to face conversation you would be surprised at how much you can learn about someone or how much more you can get out of a conversation when its face to face rather than over email or text message. So go out have lunch with an old friend, a sibling, your spouse, your parents, your kids, someone, anyone and don't look at your phone the whole time your out with them. You will have a great time, and not even think about your phone once you get a conversation going.
These are just some things to think about in our crazy technology dependent lives...

| Sitting in class all on our cellphones not even paying attention... |

| No cellphone Service to be seen in miles around..look at how much fun we were having and how much more we were connected to each other. |
