New Jobs

I have recently started a new job at the Post Office here in Riverton. It has been awesome, tiresome, and very time consuming but I am loving every minute of it. My schedule so far has mostly been working at 2am Monday through Friday and working in the evening on Saturdays. On top of working at the post office I also work at the StocDoc as a Vet Tech Assistant Thursdays and Fridays after I get off work at the Post Office. So I basically have no life; I eat, sleep, and work. Next week for the Post Office I am going to Casper all week to get window clerk trained. Overall Wyoming has been treating me GREAT.

Before I started at the Post Office a very good friend came to visit me, which is the first person to come visit me since I moved here and it has great to see someone from back home and be able to show him around town and where I live now. I cant wait for when my family comes to visit in a couple months to be able to show them around town and where I have been living for the last six months.

Hopefully I will have more time and more adventures to be able to share with everyone, until my next adventure (probably my week in Casper)....

Oh Car Problems

For those who know me, know that I know nothing about cars and only recently found out that when it gets below zero that you have to plug in your car so that it stays warm and will start the next morning big shock to me since I have never lived somewhere where it gets below zero on a regular basis. Any way the battery in my truck was an older battery so after the night that I plugged it in and it still didn't start I went out and bought a new battery which my friend graciously installed for me since I had no clue how to do that. After he fought with installing it, we proceeded to fight with the truck to getting it to start for the last five days so today I youtubed how to replace a car battery took the battery back just to be told that the battery was fine and they wouldn't replace it so I brought it back reinstalled the battery with some help moved some wires for a better connection and it turns out the ground from the battery to the engine needed to be grounded better. Thank goodness for youtube I would never have figured out how to take it out or put it back in if not. So now I officially can replace a car battery if need be...You learn something new everyday

To The New Year

The New Year brings new adventures, new experiences, new jobs, and new people. I recently took the biggest step in my life after graduating from college in June I moved to Wyoming. I originally moved here to work in Yellowstone National Park for the summer taking out trail rides and driving teams with stagecoaches and wagons. I loved every minute of my time spent there, I met a lot of really great people. After my summer came to an end I loved the area so much that I decided to stay in Wyoming and what a roller coaster it has been looking for a job, traveling back to Oregon to see my family and friends, getting a job in Idaho and having to travel back and forth for a couple of weeks from Wyoming to Idaho. I finally found a couple of jobs one of which I have not started yet so that will be the first fun new adventure of the new year.

Some Goals for the New Year:

  • Start my new job with the US Postal Service
  • Work on writing in this blog regularly
  • Start paying off Student Loans
  • Move into my own place
  • Start practicing roping
  • Become a better rider
  • Setting monthly goals
Now these aren't resolutions but some goals. I have learned the importance of setting goals for yourself. So here is to the New Year everyone make some goals for what you want to accomplish for the year or for the month.
